A class-action lawsuit has been filed against ElectroJones Superstores, a Post sister-company, for discriminatory practices against female employees of its computer service department known as "Tech Bitches."
"It' aweful," said Megan Yu, 24. "I was objectified less at Hooters."
Yu said she expected the job to utilize her degree from M.I.T., but instead exploited her body.
"I can't believe what they gave us to wear," said Yu.
"I don't see what the poblem is," said Brian Collins, president of ElectroJones. "Lots of jobs require uniforms."
The required Tech Bitches uniform is a "Slutty Catholic Schoolgirl Outfit" manufactured by Stripper Threads, LCC out of Saipan.
While only applicants with degrees in computer science are considered, technicians are actually employed under modeling contracts- allowing ElectroJones to require certain standards in looks and behavior.
"I wasn't 'Asian enough' so they taught me how to do my eye makeup so I'd look Japanese," said Deidre Atwood, 26.
Collins admits this practice.
"People trust Asians more with their computers." said Collins.
Atwood plans to return to stripping.
"The tips were better on stage."
ElectroJones has also been accused of discriminating against male Tech Bitches applicants.
"Not true," said Collins, "We have male Bitches in New York, D.C., L.A. and San Fransisco. They're just usually requested by eccentric older men."
ElectroJones may also be under investigation for human trafficking in relation to Tech Bitches.
"We have sources willing to testify that illegal immigrants are being forced to perform erotic computer repairs under threat of deportation."
"I still say this is all bullshit," said Collins. "You don't see nerds suing Geek Squad."
